If that is how you want to wear a Panerai, I would suggest getting a 42 or 44mm as others have suggested above. Fortunately, I mostly wear watches on bracelets, but if I was to replace the base with a PAM to mainly wear on a strap I would probably opt for a modern 42mm Radiomir. Edit: added IMHO.
